Visiting Los Angeles for the first time last year Venice Beach seemed similar to London's Camden Town-except everyone wears less clothes . . . and there's a beach!
oh, and I have to say that I went back through some older posts and I love your blog (sketchbook...)! You go to the most wonderful places and with your sketches it's like your readers can go with you. I had a good time
This artwork is absolutely incredible. What a perfect vision of Venice Beach. They should use this artwork in all of their promo material. It makes even the "geeky" and abnormal look nice.
Awesome! I love the Chief. You forgot though that the black dude in a speedo had the American flag on his junk. True patriot! Great job on the life guard huts... nothing says LA beach like those life guard huts! Hope you get here soon boss. KP.
I'll have my Canadian maple leaf speedos on when I hit northern cali in the fall! Right now I'm installed in North Wales for the next 5 months but planning another epic drive into Europe-Spain this time!
Lovely!! Definitely captures the life there, especially the feeling of space.
ReplyDeleteNow we just have to find Will.
I love how you portrayed LA life! Got all the characters :)
ReplyDelete...I usually don't see aliens there, though. You must have visited on a very good day.
