Terrible Tim

At Uli Meyer Animation we recently completed 4 two minute short films for Nickelodeon UK. Terrible Tim is a greedy little boy who has a severe flatulence problem! I designed, directed & storyboarded it. I also did the layout & the background design. Then we had four great Flash animators do an episode each - Michael Schlingmann, Joe Mulligan, Manu Roig & Matt West.
Based on original poems by Brian Boyle, the project was a lot of fun & is on air now.

  2. Dang dude, Tim reminds me so much of myself at a young age..the only difference is that I was drinking by age 10..But everything else is spot on.

Kick ass stuff...Think I can get some royalties?

  7. I was the first one to comment on this post and now the comment is gone! This keeps happening, don't know why.
Anyhow, what I said was: My kids just love 'Terrible Tim' and so do I! Thank you so much for your hard work. One of the highlights in 2005.
    Hope we will do more.

  9. Thanks for the feedback everyone. We've been real lucky working on jobs like this for Nickelodeon. The Clapping Song was a similar joyous experience. Because they're not commercials & there's no product to sell I've been allowed pretty free reign on these gigs. They dig my style & let pretty much let us alone to get on with it. As soon as you get the commercial pressures & you start changing colours, smiles, eyes, attitudes, 'make him mischievous yet innocent & playful' scenario it starts sapping my will to draw & create.
I've virtually no experience in feature animation but can only imagine how much more magnified it can be. Most people of an artistic nature must be driven up the wall!
TERRIBLE TIM went down well with NICK so hopefully they'll commission some more?
